Kate White, MFT - Counseling for adults and couples
Living a more balanced, enriched life is possible.
I believe it essential to invest in oneself. Therapy is not just for "fixing" problems or alleviating unpleasant feelings or experiences. Therapy can be a pro-active process to reclaim balance and lead a more purposeful life.
Some areas of my expertise include:
  • Depression and Isolation
  • Anxiety
  • Grief and Loss
  • Stress/Time management
  • Career Issues
  • Issues related to culture/gender
  • Relationship Issues
  • Life Transitions and Self Discovery
  • Self-Esteem
  • Adult abuse survivors
My approach:
In my work with adults, I draw from a multitude of theoretical and therapeutic orientations. I often find it useful to explore both the past and the present to gain awareness of how you came to be who you are and gain relevant, useful skills to move forward.
In our work, we may explore early relationships with caregivers and family dynamics, as these factors often play a role in who you are today and can impact your relationships. We may also explore thoughts, feelings and behaviors in the present moment to identify unhelpful, repetitive patterns or ways of engaging with others. Most importantly, my approach is fluid and adapted to meet your needs.

The feedback from my clients is that I'm warm, authentic, genuine, and easy to talk to. Therapy can be intense, but fun too! I enjoy connecting with my clients at deep, meaningful level, as well as sharing in laughter.

“I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious Ambiguity.”
